Peachtree Park Master Plan
Master Plan Update - September 26, 2025
The Peachtree Park Civic Association officially kicked off preparations for a neighborhood plan on Thursday, September 25, 2025. Peachtree Park residents, area business leaders and community leaders met at the IntreContinental Hotel and had the opportunity to provide input into a variety of aspects about the neighborhood and its surroundings.
Residents who could not attend last night’s meeting can view the presentation and still have the opportunity to provide their input by completing a survey by no later than Monday, October 13, 2025.
The process will include multiple community involvement opportunities to gain a deeper understanding of the goals and preferences of Peachtree Park’s residents. These efforts include focus groups, public meetings, a neighborhood survey, and ongoing discussions with an advisory committee and the Peachtree Park Civic Association committee group leaders.
The purpose of the planning effort is to provide a guide for land use in the neighborhood, including greenspace, and provide overall recommendations for future improvements to our infrastructure needs, such as sidewalks and safer streets.
Neighborhood goals are guided by the following principles for the plan…
Guiding Principle #1: Preservation of Peachtree Park as a single-family neighborhood
Guiding Principle #2: Encourage neighborhood-friendly businesses on Peachtree and Piedmont Roads – in both existing and future buildings
Guiding Principle #3: Provide safe conditions for pedestrians/cyclists in neighborhood
Guiding Principle #4: Enhance greenspaces within the neighborhood
Guiding Principle #5: Encourage efficient and safe intersections along Piedmont Road
Peachtree Park Civic Association is financially supporting the plan and hired Canvas Planning Group. Atlanta City Council Member Howard Shook has contributed funds, as well. TSW and Atlanta’s Department of City Planning are providing project management assistance. The plan is anticipated to be adopted in mid-2026 by the City of Atlanta and officially incorporated into Plan A—Atlanta’s 2025 Comprehensive Development Plan, so it can guide decisions on Peachtree Park’s future for years to come.
A second community forum will take place at 7:00 pm on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at the InterContinental Hotel located at 3315 Peachtree Rd NE in a room to be announced at a later date.
Master plan information displayed on this site will be in draft form and subject to change until the final plan has been approved by the Peachtree Park Civic Association and adopted by the Atlanta City Council.
We express our sincere appreciation to City Councilman Howard Shook for his support and the InterContinental Hotel for providing meeting space for Peachtree Park.
